Overview
The Student Referral Scheme is a way for current students to recommend someone who may be a good fit for Make Happen.
It is also intended to be a more human way of reaching creative students - by leaning on personal recommendation rather than relying primarily on paid advertising (e.g. Meta).
If a referral results in a student enrolling on the programme and completing at least 3 months, a £500 thank-you is allocated.
Who can I refer?
You can refer someone who you believe would benefit from the structure, support, and community at Make Happen.
There is no expectation to “sell” or persuade anyone—this is simply a way to introduce someone who you think belongs here.
What kind of student are we looking for?
Referrals are most helpful when they are for someone who:
Has an unfinished creative project (or several) they genuinely want to progress
Is talented, but feels stuck, isolated, or lacking structure
Is ready to commit time and energy to regular practice and feedback
Would benefit from a supportive community and clear momentum
What happens when my referral is successful?
If your referral enrols and completes at least 3 months of the programme, we will set aside £500 as a thank-you.
You can choose how the £500 is used.
Thank-you options
Choose one of the following:
Option A: Receive £250 yourself, and donate the remaining £250 to the Bursary Fund in your name.
Option B: Donate the full £500 to the Bursary Fund in the referred student’s name.
Notes
The thank-you applies per successful referral.
A referral is considered successful once the referred student has enrolled and completed at least 3 months of the programme.
